Accelerating the Mission to End Food Insecurity in Our Community
Every year, Forum Solutions partners with a local non-profit organization to deliver a pro bono project. The Pacific Northwest is not just a market for us, but our home: it is where our consultants live, our clients are based, and where we engage, serve, and invest in our communities.
This year, we are honored to share our expertise with Rainier Valley Food Bank (RVFB), helping the organization assess and optimize their technology landscape. RVFB is committed to end hunger in South Seattle by providing good food, empowering community members with knowledge and resources, and serving with compassion.
Food insecurity is a growing concern in Seattle – ironically one of the wealthiest cities in the nation – and RVFB is growing and expanding their physical footprint and services to meet the increasing need and demand. In 2024, RVFB served over 16,700 individuals through their grocery shopping, home delivery, school backpack and meals-to-go programs. Additionally, they connected many of these individuals to other resources such as housing assistance through the community connector program.
As a growing organization, streamlining software and services becomes ever important, so valuable staff time is spent serving the community and not managing systems. Over the next two months, Forum Solutions is helping RVFB identify opportunities to get the most out of their existing information technology and address any gaps to maximize their incredible impact on the community.
As part of the project kickoff, Forum Solutions Senior Consultant, RVFB volunteer, and former board member Antje Helfrich hosted a brunch to introduce Forum staff to the foodbank and forge personal connection. Forum and RVFB share a commitment to fostering growth and prosperity for ALL in the Pacific Northwest, and we are excited to collaborate on one of the many efforts this bold ambition takes!
