Recognizing Native American Heritage Month
National Native American Heritage Month is an opportunity to honor the traditions, languages, and stories of Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and affiliated Island communities. We recognize the cultures and traditions of the first people of Seattle; the Coast Salish Peoples: (Suquamish, Duwamish, Nisqually, Snoqualmie,) and Muckleshoot: (Ilalkoamish, Stuckamish, and Skopamish,) past and present, and their impact on our Seattle community.
